Hundreds of years ago our forests were filled with wild boars. Their habits were to disturb the forest floor in search of food. This in turn encouraged wildflower seeds to come to the surface and grow.
Andy Honman from Derbyshire Wildlife Trust will be leading the activity: Mimicking wild boar grubbing by the children turning over soil with tools to break the surface and encourage natural plant regeneration.
